Hyderabad: Reliance Jio posted strong growth figures in the Andhra Pradesh telecom circle for November 2025, outperforming key competitors in subscriber additions, while simultaneously consolidating its position as India’s largest telecom operator on a pan-India basis.
According to the latest subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio registered robust gains in both wireless mobile and fixed wireless access segments within the Andhra Pradesh Telecom Circle, which includes Telangana.
Jio recorded the highest net addition of wireless subscribers among all private operators for the month. The operator’s wireless subscriber base in the region grew from 31.77 million in October to 31.88 million in November, adding a net total of 1,10,054 new subscribers.
This growth momentum placed Jio ahead of its rivals in the circle with Airtel adding added approximately 32,500 subscribers, and Vodafone Idea losing over 1,67,000 subscribers in the region.
A key driver of Jio’s regional success appears to be its aggressive rollout of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services. Jio’s 5G FWA subscriber base in Andhra Pradesh rose to 6,49,908 an increase of nearly 22,000 from the previous month. Jio also saw substantial uptake in Unlicensed Band Radio (UBR) FWA technology, with the base expanding from 2,22,266 to 253,677 a sharp monthly increase of over 31,000 subscribers.
Continues Market Dominance Nationally
On the national stage, Jio continued to dictate the industry’s growth trajectory. The operator added 1.39 million net wireless subscribers in November 2025, the highest in the industry, bringing its total domestic wireless subscriber base to 486.09 million. This performance reinforced Jio’s market leadership, as it now commands a wireless market share of 41.41%. In contrast, Vodafone Idea lost over 1 million subscribers nationally, while state-run BSNL added approximately 4,21,000 subscribers.
Jio’s national dominance extends beyond mobile voice services into high-speed broadband. It remains the undisputed leader in the total broadband segment (Wired + Wireless) with 510.52 million subscribers, holding a 50.87% market share. The company added 1,70,492 wireline subscribers in November, the highest among all operators. Nationally, Jio’s 5G FWA user base grew by 3.38% to reach 7.64 million, while its UBR FWA base jumped by 12.41% to 3.19 million.
