HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has mounted a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, sharply criticizing his administration’s governance track record, political rhetoric, and handling of state issues.
Speaking to reporters and party cadres in Hyderabad, KTR condemned the Chief Minister’s recent public statements. Calling out what he described as divisive and misleading discourse, KTR highlighted remarks made by CM Revanth Reddy regarding religious iconography and political rivalries, questioning the Congress leadership’s focus.
“The BJP attempts to divide the country along religious lines, and now Congress leaders are attempting to divide faith itself with absurd comparisons,” KTR stated. “Instead of focusing on governance, public welfare, and fulfilling key poll guarantees, the Chief Minister is resorting to unnecessary theatrics and diversionary tactics.”
The BRS leader leveled serious allegations against the ruling Congress administration, pointing to pending promises made to farmers, youth, and women across Telangana. KTR claimed that public dissatisfaction with the Congress government is mounting rapidly due to delays in implementing welfare schemes and infrastructural initiatives.
In addition, KTR reiterated corruption allegations concerning government tenders and policy decisions. He accused the state leadership of prioritizing political vendettas and filing baseless cases against opposition members rather than addressing core economic and development priorities.
Reaffirming his party’s stance, KTR threw down an open challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for a public debate on the state’s progress and the development of Hyderabad under the current Congress regime versus the previous BRS tenure.
“If the Chief Minister has confidence in his administration’s performance over the past months, let him fix the time, date, and venue,” KTR said. “The people of Telangana are watching closely, and they deserve real accountability over empty promises.”
The political atmosphere in Telangana continues to heat up as both BRS and Congress step up their campaign activities and verbal duels ahead of upcoming local and regional elections.
