Action Should Be Taken Against the Suryapet DEO: Students Unions
Suryapet: BC Student JAC Telangana State Chairman Veeraboyina Lingayya Yadav, PDSU State Vice President Erra Akhil, Telangana Student Parishad State President Bari Ashok, and BC Students’ Association District President Nidra Sampath Naidu demanded action against the District Education Officer for allegedly neglecting government schools.
Speaking to the media at the district headquarters on Monday, they alleged that the District Education Officer has completely failed to provide even basic facilities in government schools. They also criticized the government, stating that despite nearly three years having passed since it came to power, the state still does not have a Minister for Education.
They demanded that the government immediately ensure adequate infrastructure and basic amenities for students in schools. Otherwise, they warned that they would lay siege to the Collector’s office.
They further urged the government to construct permanent buildings for welfare hostels and Gurukul schools, pointing out that students are facing difficulties due to inadequate facilities in rented buildings.
The leaders alleged that the state government is not interested in supporting the education of poor SC, ST, and BC students and is therefore failing to provide proper facilities.
Among those present at the meeting were BC Youth Association District President Bhuvanagiri Satish, BC Students’ Association District Convener Bayya Rajesh, Sai, Pawan, and others.
