Eye Test For Rs 30, Dental Treatment for Rs 100, Noida Lokmanch’s new health initiative

Noida: The free medicine bank and medical centre located in Sector 12 of Noida city has emerged as a new ray of hope. While the increasing health expenditure remains a matter of concern for the common man, the health project of Noida Lok Manch has taken a unique initiative by starting the facility of eye examination for just Rs. 30 and teeth for just Rs. 100. This service is not just a health program, but a living example of service, dedication and social responsibility.

This service was launched by former Union Minister and MP from Gautam Buddha Nagar Dr. Mahesh Sharma and BJP Noida Municipal President Mahesh Chauhan. Speaking on the occasion, he said that true service is the one that reaches the needy at a minimum cost. Appreciating this initiative, he said that such efforts play an important role in providing health facilities to the last person in the society.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma said that Noida Lokmanch has been continuously working in the service of poor, labourer and middle class families for the last three decades. He said that the goal of the organisation is not only to provide treatment, but to establish a charitable hospital in the future so that no one is deprived of treatment due to financial shortage.

Rishi Pratap Singh, CSR partner of this health project scheme, Saksham change maker and chairman of Infosys Foundation, described this start of ophthalmology and dentistry as very beneficial for the needy people of the city. He said that his organisation is always with Noida Lok Manch as a partner and in the future there will be some big social work initiatives in the health sector. He called on everyone to join the “Noida Eye Care” campaign.

Mahesh Saxena, general secretary of Noida Lokmanch, said that the organisation is soon going to start a two-hour service of doctors in various sectors and villages of Noida. He said that this initiative is an important start in the direction of public service and it will be given a more comprehensive form in the coming time.

Many dedicated and experienced personalities have made a significant contribution to this service project. These include Prabhat Kumar (former Governor, Jharkhand and President, Noida Lok Manch), Dr. Yogendra Narayan (Former Secretary of Defence, Government of India and Senior Vice President, Noida Lok Manch), J. P. Sharma (Former Health Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Chairman, Health Projects), Dr. Prabhat Kumar (Distate Commissioner, Scout and Guide and Vice President, Health Project), Rishi Pratap Singh (D. Infosys), Pankaj Rathi (CEO, Tirupati Eye Trust), Dr. Mohita Sharma (Chairperson, Tirupati Eye Centre), Dr. Keshav Nathani (Director, Max Hospital), Hemant Goel (Chancellor, Jharkhand University), Dr. H. Nath (Senior Ophthalmologist), Jamil Ahmed, P. Jain, Indra Chaudhary, Leeka Saxena, Vibha Bansal (Treasurer, Noida Lok Manch), Dr. Jha, Ram Sharan Gaur, Rajesh Srivastava, V. Jain, advocate Vineet Garg, Mohammed Parvez, other office-bearers and workers of Noida Lok Manch and volunteers of Saksham Changemaker Trust were present. The program was successfully conducted by the well-known comic poet and writer of the country Vinod Pandey.

In this event, the cornea project in the drug bank was started in collaboration with the Infosys Foundation and the competent changemaker trust and cooperation was made in improving the infrastructure of the drug bank.

On this occasion, the speakers said that when the spirit of service is true and the purpose is public welfare, then no goal is impossible. This initiative of Noida Lokmanch is a new ray of hope for those sections of society who need accessible and affordable health services. This effort reminds us that real success lies not only in achieving achievements for ourselves, but in bringing about positive changes in the lives of the weaker and needy sections of the society.

This initiative of Noida Lok Manch is not only working to provide health services to the common man, but also strengthening the spirit of service, cooperation and sensitivity in the society. If such efforts continue, surely Noida will establish a new identity as a healthy, aware and sensitive society.
