Medical Team Rushed to Pindki and Madesh Villages After Viral Fever Outbreak Affects Over 50 Residents
Uttarkashi: Following reports of a viral fever outbreak affecting more than 50 people in Pindki, Madesh and nearby villages in the Yamunotri region, the Health Department has swung into action and deployed a medical team to provide treatment to the affected residents.
For the past three weeks, a large number of children, elderly people and women in the villages under Geeth Patti have been suffering from fever-like symptoms. Villagers had appealed to the administration and the Health Department to send a medical team to the remote area.
Responding promptly to the situation, a team led by Dr. Akhil Rana was dispatched to the affected villages with essential medicines. The team included Pharmacist Ali Ahmed, FMR Chatar Singh, Nursing Officer Ekta, and driver Sanjay Rawat. The team reached the Hanumanchatti-Pindki-Madesh area and started examining patients and distributing medicines through a special medical camp.
The timely intervention by the Health Department has brought relief to the villagers. Residents expressed their gratitude to the district administration and the Health Department for responding quickly and ensuring medical assistance in the remote villages.
Villagers said that the prompt action has helped control the spread of the illness and provided much-needed healthcare support to those affected. They also hoped that regular health camps would continue to be organized in the area to ensure better medical facilities for people living in remote regions.
