Pune, Feb 22: Veteran Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) president and Rajya Sabha member Sharad Pawar was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune today after suffering from mild dehydration.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that the 85‑year‑old leader’s condition is stable. “He has been admitted for mild dehydration and requires intravenous fluids. He will remain in the hospital for two days and is expected to be discharged thereafter,” said Dr. Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist and chairman of the hospital.
Pawar, who has faced health challenges in recent months, was earlier admitted to the same hospital on February 9 for a chest infection and discharged on February 14 after treatment.
Family members, including his daughter and MP Supriya Sule, are closely monitoring his recovery. Party sources said Pawar is expected to resume political engagements after a brief period of rest.
