Ranchi Feb 5 : The Champai Soren government has won the confidence test conducted in the Jharkhand Assembly. 47 votes were cast in favor of the confidence test and 29 votes were cast against . Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan announced that Champai Soren passed the faith test to this extent. After that, cheers were heard to congratulate Champai Soren. The assembly was adjourned after the confidence test was over. The meeting will start again on Tuesday. In Jharkhand, which has 81 assembly seats, JMM has 29 MLAs. JMM formed the government along with Congress and CPM. JMM allies Congress has 17 MLAs and CPM has one MLA. The opposition BJP has 26 MLAs and its allies have three MLAs. Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren participated in the confidence test voting. Police brought Soren to the Assembly amid tight security with the permission of the court. It is known that Hemant Soren was arrested by ED on 31st January . With that, Hemant resigned from the post of CM. After that Champai Soren took oath as CM and proved his strength today.
