New Delhi: Opposing the delimination bill in Lok Sabha, senior DMK leader and MP Kanimozhi said, “If this government is confident that the Delimitation Bill is fair then why they are not placing the Bill in Tamil Nadu legislature. The government didn’t consult with Chief Ministers of any State.”
“They postponed the census (in 2021), now they are rewarding them with the old census. The special session has been called in the middle of State election in five States,” said Kanimozhi. She further stated that BJP is using women as electoral rescue strategy. “What is the necessity of notifying Women’s Reservation Act 2023 yesterday?” asked the DMK MP, adding that this Bill in disguise of women reservation, disrupts the federal structure of India.
