Collective Effort Needed to Maintain Law and Order in Telangana: Motkupalli
Hyderabad: Former Minister Motkupalli Narasimhulu met Telangana’s newly appointed Director General of Police (DGP), C.V. Anand, to discuss the need for strengthening law and order, public safety, and social harmony in the state.
During the meeting, held on Tuesday at the DGP’s office in Hyderabad, the two discussed the current law and order situation in Telangana, the measures being taken by the police department to enhance public security, and future plans to improve policing. They also exchanged views on various issues related to public safety.
On the occasion, Motkupalli Narasimhulu congratulated C.V. Anand on assuming charge as the new DGP of Telangana. He expressed hope that the DGP would continue to uphold public trust and work effectively to maintain peace and law and order across the state.
He emphasized that effective implementation of the rule of law would enhance the public’s sense of security and that peace and order are essential pillars for the state’s development.
According to sources, Narasimhulu suggested that the police department should be more proactive in areas such as crime prevention, women’s safety, combating cybercrime, and creating awareness among youth to keep them away from criminal activities. He also stressed that the police should ensure equal justice for people from all sections of society.
The former minister expressed confidence that under the leadership of DGP C.V. Anand, the Telangana Police would become more accessible to the public while delivering transparent and accountable services. He added that maintaining law and order is possible only with public cooperation and called for stronger coordination between the police and citizens.
The meeting was attended by leaders of Madiga Mahashakti, including Munjagalla Vijay Kumar, Professor Kanakayya, Vangapalli Srinu, Advocate Sagarapu Prasad, Pochayya, and several other leaders.
The attendees congratulated the new DGP and appreciated the efforts of the Telangana Police in maintaining law and order. They also urged the police department to respond more positively to issues related to social justice, the safety of marginalized communities, and the resolution of public grievances.
