New Delhi, March 7: Amid the ongoing conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, the Government of India is taking steps to protect Indian citizens stranded in West Asian countries. In this context, the Indian Embassy in Qatar has issued an important advisory.
Indian citizens holding Hayya A1 (tourist) visas and temporary visas have been asked to immediately fill in their details through the link shared by the embassy. This measure is intended to determine how many Indians are stranded in Qatar and to provide them with necessary assistance.
The Hayya A1 visa is a single-entry electronic visa issued to those wishing to visit Qatar. Applications are made through the Hayya website or the Hayya to Qatar app. Once obtained, the visa can be extended for another 30 days after its expiry.
Meanwhile, due to the conflict that began on February 28 in West Asia, flights scheduled to depart from Qatar were canceled. As a result, many Indians were forced to remain in the country. In response, the Government of India, with the cooperation of Gulf nations, has arranged special flight services to bring stranded citizens back home.
