Rare celestial event on Maghi Purnima: Devotees to take dip in Pushya Nakshatra

Varanasi, January 31: Rare coincidences are occurring on the day of Maghi Purnima, which falls on Sunday as devotees will have the opportunity to take a holy dip during the conjunction of seven auspicious yogas and Pushya Nakshatra simultaneously.
The combination of Pushya Nakshatra with the special yoga of Sun and Moon will be very fruitful. This yoga will continue from the dawn of February 1 to the dawn of February 2. Purnima Tithi is considered very dear to the Moon.
Jitendra Mohan Puri, Mahant of Batuk Bhairav Temple, said here on Saturday that the date of Magh Purnima will be from 5.19 am on February 1 to 3.46 am on February 2, the next day.
According to Uday Tithi, bathing on Magh Purnima will be highly auspicious on February 1. On this day, special Preeti Yoga, Ravi Yoga, Sarvarthasiddhi Yoga, Ravi Ayushman Yoga, Shrivatsa Yoga, and Uttam Yoga will occur. Bathing in the Ganges Ghats of Kashi or at the confluence in Prayagraj on this day is believed to yield unique benefits and destroy sins. Devotees are encouraged to donate clothes, grains, fruits, and other items.
Three special Muhurtas are being made for Magha Purnima bath. Brahm Muhurta – on February 1 from 5.24 am to 6.18 am, Ravi Pushya Yoga – from 7.09 am to 11.58 pm and Pisces Lagna Muhurta – from 8.46 am to 8.46 am Will stay till 10.15 pm. Sunday is considered as the day of Lord Bhaskar (Suryadev).

On this day, after bathing in the Ganges or any other holy river, devotees should stand in the water and worship the Sun God. Also, offering yellow flowers and sweets to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu will be auspicious.
