Hyderabad, Feb 15: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that, “We are not rulers, we are servants.” He explained that people have given him and his government the opportunity to serve.
Speaking at the Sant Shri Sevalal Jayanti celebrations held at Banjara Bhavan in Hyderabad, he announced that orders have been issued to lay BT roads in all tribal hamlets (tandas), to provide proper facilities for school buildings in tandas, and to supply electricity through solar plants. He noted that while the government does not have surplus land, it is committed to welfare and education, which he believes will help future generations achieve key positions.
Revanth Reddy emphasized that he has never behaved like a ruler. He highlighted welfare measures such as SC categorization and ensuring representation of marginalized groups in governance. He pointed out that while SCs form 17% of the state’s population, his government has given them 30% representation, including Speaker and Minister posts.
On municipal election results, he said opposition leaders were unfairly blaming people. He clarified that his earlier remark “I am the king, I am the minister” was misinterpreted, explaining that as Municipal Administration Minister, he takes responsibility for both victories and defeats. He concluded that every election result is a measure of his performance.
