Ponnam Prabhakar Vows to Secure Karimnagar Mayor’s Post

Vemulawada, Feb 15: Telangana Minister for BC Welfare and Transport Ponnam Prabhakar made strong remarks about the Karimnagar Mayor’s post. Speaking to the media in Vemulawada on Sunday, he expressed confidence that the Congress party will secure the corporation.

He pointed out that BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind had announced withdrawal from the Nizamabad Mayor race due to lack of majority. “If there is no majority in Karimnagar, how can Union Minister Bandi Sanjay claim they will win the Mayor’s post? Mayors in corporations are elected democratically,” he said.

Ponnam emphasized that the Congress government will support development and work inclusively to secure the Mayor’s seat. He added that just as BJP makes efforts, Congress will also strategize. “For Mayor and Chairperson posts, camp politics are inevitable,” he remarked.
