
Hyderabad: The BRS suffered another setback in the Khammam Municipal Corporation as three more corporators joined the Congress on Wednesday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy formally welcomed them into the party by draping Congress scarves in Hyderabad. The corporators who joined the Congress include Dhaniyala Radha, Thota Uma Rani and Rudragani Sridevi. The joining programme was held under the leadership of Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. Earlier, five corporators including C.H. Lakshmi, G. Chandrakala, D. Saraswathi, Amruthamma and M. Sravani had quit the BRS and joined the Congress. The newly inducted corporators later paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. MLA Ragamayi and former MLC Balasani Lakshminarayana, among others, were present on the occasion.
