CM Rrevanth Inspects Mir Alam Tank Development Works

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on Thursday made a surprise inspection of the ongoing works to transform Hyderabad’s Mir Alam Tank into a prominent tourist destination. He examined each of the works being carried out there one by one.

He instructed that it should be developed in a way that attracts tourists with the finest designs. Officials explained the ongoing works through a photo exhibition that had been arranged. After thoroughly reviewing the plans, the Chief Minister gave several suggestions to the officials.

He ordered that the works be completed within the stipulated timeframes. He traveled in an open-top jeep to inspect the development works around the tank and examined the entire area. He went up with the help of a heavy crane to see the suspension bridge being constructed over the Mir Alam Tank.

He directed the officials to take all measures to prevent sewage water from entering the tank. He also said that the canal should be widened so that floodwater from the tank can flow into the Musi.

He said that water sports should be designed for tourists in the tank and that the islands in the middle of the tank should be developed attractively. Given its proximity to the international airport, he suggested arrangements to make the Mir Alam Tank and surrounding areas appealing to tourists.

During the Chief Minister’s surprise visit, senior officials from the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation, senior officials from Hyderabad Metro Water Works, and municipal officials participated.
