X Suspends Account of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s New York Event Organisers

NEW YORK/NEW DELHI: Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has suspended the official account of American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD) Forum, the primary organization hosting an upcoming high-profile address by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat in New York City.

The account suspension—bearing the handle @AheadForum1—came just days before the scheduled “Universal Oneness Celebration” on August 29 at the Infosys Theater in Madison Square Garden. Visitors attempting to view the page were met with a notice stating that the account had been suspended for violating platform rules.

AHEAD, a registered US-based non-profit organization, immediately appealed the decision, expressing confidence that the action was taken in error. In an official statement, the forum maintained that its social media communications strictly adhered to platform policies, focusing exclusively on promoting interfaith dialogue, universal peace, and cultural harmony.
