Hyderabad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday registered a disproportionate assets case against M Vamshi Mohan, a Special Grade Deputy Collector in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, for allegedly amassing wealth beyond his known income sources.
ACB officials conducted raids at 13 locations linked to the officer and his associates earlier during the day, uncovering assets worth about Rs 6.22 crore. The seized assets include 19 plots, a house, two flats, a farmhouse, cash, bank deposits, gold ornaments and two vehicles.
ACB officials also found a suspicious land transaction involving eight acres in Piglipur village, allegedly purchased in the name of the officer’s father-in-law. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is on.
