Karimnagar: A first-of-its-kind digital training programme for Booth Level Agent-2 (BLO-2) members was organized by the Congress Party in Karimnagar Assembly constituency on Sunday, providing comprehensive training on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Held at PM Convention Hall, Sitarampur, the programme witnessed participation from representatives of all 390 polling booths in the constituency. The training was organized under the initiative of Congress Assembly Constituency In-charge Velichala Rajender Rao.
A major highlight of the programme was the use of advanced digital technology. Participants were provided with pre-registered digital identity cards embedded with QR codes, enabling instant access to booth-related information. Large LED screens were used to present detailed explanations of the electoral roll revision process, making the training interactive and easy to understand.
Addressing the gathering, PCC Vice-President and Master Trainer Namindla Srinivas explained the importance of the SIR process and urged booth-level agents to ensure that all eligible voters are properly enrolled in the electoral rolls. He emphasized the need for vigilance and active participation at the grassroots level throughout the revision process.
Among those present were DCC President and Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam, SUDA Chairman Komatireddy Narendra Reddy, Library Corporation Chairman Sattu Mallesh, former MLA Arepalli Mohan, Urban DCC President Dr. Vaidyula Anjan Kumar, Market Committee Chairman Akula Narasanna and several other Congress leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Velichala Rajender Rao said that accurate electoral rolls are essential for strengthening democracy and called upon booth-level agents to discharge their responsibilities with commitment and dedication. He thanked party leaders, workers and volunteers for making the programme a grand success.
