Alia Bhatt, one of the proudest actresses of the Indian film industry, has earned recognition on a global scale. As part of this journey, she has secured a spot in the list of presenters for the 79th edition of the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2026. Alia is set to create a record as the third Indian actress to present an award on this prestigious stage.
The awards ceremony will be held grandly on February 22 at the famous ‘Royal Festival Hall’ in London. Along with Alia Bhatt, world-renowned Hollywood legends such as Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, Kate Hudson, Bryan Cranston, Ethan Hawke, and Glenn Close are participating as presenters in this ceremony.
Sharing the official BAFTA announcement on her Instagram story, Alia added a playful caption: “100 marks if you can spot me.” While Priyanka Chopra (2021) and Deepika Padukone (2024) received this honor in the past, Alia has now joined their ranks. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the Manipuri film ‘Boong’ is also among the BAFTA nominations this time.
