Hyderabad, Jan.30: former legislator Raghunandan Rao today spoke to media persons at a press conference held at the BJP state office in the city. He said that The Congress government, which came to power in the state, had been unable to take the right decision on many issues. Stating that although A lot of mistakes seem to have been identified by the government, he said that it failed to take steps to solve them. He said that retired IAS officer Somesh Kumar, who served as chief secretary in the previous government, had been accused of registering 25 acres of land in the name of his wife and wondered as to Why the state government was not filing any case against him?“He retired as chief secretary and special advisor to the previous BRS government. Why didn’t the Congress government take action even though it appears that Somesh Kumar has benefited from the past state government and registered properties in the name of his family members? If there are allegations of acquiring illegal assets in the name of Dharani, why is there no inquiry being conducted,” he asked . He asked the state government, which promised to replace Dharani portal with Bhoomata portal, failed to initiate any action against all the wrongdoers? He said that The high court had clearly said that the land given to Hetero firm should be reviewed.“Why is the present Congress government struggling even though the previous BRS government looted the public lands with false GOs? Lands worth thousands of crores of rupees given to Hetero. Why is there no inquiry into the irregularities despite knowing that it is illegal? When it comes to IAS officers in the state, there are allegations against Rajat Kumar, Somesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar, Venkat Rami Reddy and many others, so why are the congress leaders silent on the promise of conducting an inquiry and taking action once they came to power,” he asked .He wondered as to How could retired IAS officers be appointed as MLCs and special advisors to the government? “When in opposition, the Congress party had campaigned for a CBI inquiry into the irregularities of the BRS party leaders. When it came to power, it forgot about it. From 2014 onwards, can you make an enquiry into the dharani lands matters till you become CM ,” he asked . He said that The Congress appears to have come to power to benefit in the upcoming parliamentary elections and added that A government has to be loyal to public money. He demanded that A white paper should be released after an inquiry into the land sold and allotted in the BRS government. He wondered whether it was possible to conduct an inquiry into waqf lands and Lanco Hills irregularities in the sale of graveyards during the BRS regime? He said that rival The BRS leaders made arbitrary comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi when they were in power. “They are spreading false propaganda that the Congress and the BJP are one and the same. Have the Congress and the BJP ever contested together?People know that the Congress and the BJP are different parties, no matter how many allegations KTR makes and spreads false propaganda against our party. KTR speaks as if he is an insane person . He should keep his mouth under control at least now ,” Rao said. He predicted that The BRS would not win a single seat in the next parliamentary elections. He said that The BRS party should show its sincerity by giving the Rajya Sabha seat that falls vacant in February to the mother of Srikanth Chari, who led the Telangana movement. State spokesperson Sunitha Reddy, BJP Mahila Morcha state president Shilpa Reddy, BJP Kisan Morcha national executive member Goli Madhusudan Reddy and BJP leaders Lingam participated in the press conference.
