Tirumala, Feb 17: On Tuesday, during the VIP break darshan, members of the USA cricket team of Indian origin—Monank Patel (captain), Milind Kumar, and Saurabh Netravalkar—visited the Tirumala temple to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. TTD officials welcomed them warmly and arranged for their darshan.
The cricketers entered the sanctum, offered prayers, and received tirtha prasadam after being blessed by priests at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. Monank Patel praised the cleanliness and maintenance of the temple premises and surrounding areas.
This visit comes at a time when USA cricket is gaining visibility, especially after their participation in major ICC tournaments. For players of Indian origin, such visits hold cultural and spiritual significance, connecting them back to their roots. Tirumala, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India, often attracts international dignitaries, celebrities, and sportspersons who seek divine blessings before important milestones.
