New Delhi, Jan 25: Actor Mahesh Babu has expressed his admiration for Priyanka Chopra Jonas after watching the trailer for her upcoming Hollywood film ‘The Bluff’.
Sharing the trailer on his Instagram story, Mahesh Babu wrote, “Loved the trailer… Priyanka Chopra is uncompromising and formidable yet again. Wishing the entire team of The Bluff the very best for Feb 25th…”
Priyanka Chopra responded warmly, commenting, “Thank you my Dost.” The friendly exchange is notable as Priyanka and Mahesh Babu are set to share the screen in SS Rajamouli’s next project, ‘Varanasi’. Priyanka will play Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran is also part of the cast.
The film is slated for a Sankranti 2027 release. The title of ‘Varanasi’ was unveiled at the grand GlobeTrotter event held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad last November, where a teaser gave fans a first glimpse of the film.
Turning back to ‘The Bluff’, the film is directed by Frank E Flowers, who co-wrote the script with Joe Ballarini. The movie is an epic period thriller set in the historically and culturally rich Cayman Islands, featuring breathtaking real-world locations such as Skull Cave and the iconic bluff.
The recently released trailer opens with Karl Urban, whose character is seeking a bounty seemingly placed on Priyanka Chopra. The film follows Priyanka’s character as she navigates a dangerous past to protect her family, delivering high-octane action scenes as she confronts intruders at her home.
Produced by siblings Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Angela Russo-Otstot under their AGBO banner, ‘The Bluff’ is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 15.
