Minister Ponguleti Launches Lucky Draw for Indiramma Towers Beneficiaries

HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Information & Public Relations, Revenue, and Housing Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy oversaw the transparent allocation of housing units under the flagship Indiramma Towers scheme through an automated lucky draw mechanism. The multi-day selection drive across key urban pockets in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) limits aims to finalize the beneficiary list for multi-story residential apartments.

The Housing Department received a total of 60,720 applications during the initial phase. Following a comprehensive 360-degree field verification, officials cleared 40,900 applicants as eligible, while rejecting 19,820 applications with detailed reasons published on the official portal. Minister Ponguleti emphasized that the lucky draw process is being conducted publicly in designated halls with designated supervising officers at every center to guarantee complete transparency.

Under the Indiramma Towers initiative, eligible urban families receive modern 525-sq-ft housing units along with an undivided land share. The state government provides a heavy subsidy alongside full land registration at no additional cost, ensuring long-term asset security for low-income residents in the capital city.

The Housing Minister assured that for all non-selected candidates who cleared eligibility, their earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹10,000 will be refunded directly into their bank accounts immediately after the draw phase concludes. Additionally, the state has opened fresh applications for four new urban constituencies—LB Nagar, Goshamahal, Musheerabad, and Chandrayangutta—giving remaining eligible residents an opportunity to apply for upcoming phases.
