New Delhi February 1: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Interim Budget 2024-25 in Parliament. The total expenditure for FY 2025 is Rs. He said that the government is estimating 47.66 lakh crores. Non loan income Rs. 30.80 lakh crores and net loans of Rs. 11.75 lakh crores, the government has estimated.Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that efforts have been made to provide water to every house , electricity and gas to all , financial services and opening of bank accounts. Food problems are said to have been resolved. He said that free food grains have been provided to 80 crore people. He said that the basic needs have been fulfilled and due to this the income of the people in the rural areas has increased. It has been announced that India will become a developed country by 2047 . He said that we are working to empower the people and we have put an end to corruption and nepotism.Our government is working towards all-round development. The youth of our country have high aspirations and hope for a bright future in the present. The last 10 years have seen an unprecedented change in the Indian economy. In 2014 , the country faced big challenges. The government overcame those challenges and undertook structural reforms. Nirmala said that public welfare reforms have been implemented. She recalled that when her government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014 with the blessings of the people , the country was facing great challenges with the mantra of ‘ Sabka Saath.. Sabka Vikas ‘ . It has been revealed that the Modi government has taken those challenges seriously and overcome them effectively.What else ?Our government is giving priority to all-round development. We provide house , door to door water , bank account and financial services to all. We are giving free ration to 80 crore people. Thus we have effectively faced the food crisis. We have increased the support price for farmers. We have given importance to the rural economy. We have provided the benefits of government schemes to all those who are eligible. We have given special attention to the poor , women , youth and farmers. Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear on the floor of the Parliament that efforts are being made for inclusive development .Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the country’s economy is heading in the right direction. Our government is focused on transparent governance. Nirmala said that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, two crore more houses will be built in rural areas in the next five years. He said that construction of houses for the middle class will be given priority. He reminded that we are working with the states for the development of districts and blocks. Nirmala revealed that up to 300 units of free electricity will be provided to one crore houses under the Roof Top Solar Policy . The Union Minister has made it clear that the dream of owning a home will soon come true for those living in slums and rented houses. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that development programs targeting every house and individual will be done in record time through houses for all , water for all , electricity for all , cooking gas for all , and bank accounts for all . It will present a roadmap for a developed India. 11 percent more will be spent on infrastructure . This time ( 2024) being a temporary budget, the speech ended with 58 minutes. Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the full budget five times since July 2019 in the Lok Sabha. With the budget presented on Thursday , she broke the records of previous Finance Ministers Manmohan Singh , Arun Jaitley , P. Chidambaram and Yashwant Sinha.
