Nizamabad, Feb 5: The District Court has delivered a sensational verdict in a 2023 murder case that took place in Bussapur village, sentencing a father to life imprisonment for the brutal killing of his daughter. Additionally, the court imposed a fine of ₹2,000 on another individual involved in the case. The court concluded that the murder was fueled by the father’s suspicion regarding his wife’s character.
The convict, Kadamanchi Kashiram, and his wife, Posani, were residents of Dhani village in the Sarangapur Mandal of Nirmal district. The couple made a living by collecting scrap paper and had two daughters, Sammakka and Sarakka. Due to neglect from her husband, Posani eventually moved to Bussapur in the Mendora Mandal of Nizamabad district, where she sustained herself and her children through begging. During this time, she became acquainted with a local resident named Metpalli Prashant.
Upon learning of this acquaintance, an enraged Kashiram traveled to Bussapur. In a fit of fury directed at his wife, he grabbed his younger daughter, 9-year-old Sarakka, and threw her into a fire. Terrified by the sight, the elder daughter, Sammakka, managed to flee the spot. Local residents rushed the severely injured Sarakka to the hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her burns while undergoing treatment.
Following a complaint lodged by the mother, Mendora police registered a case against Kashiram and sent him to remand. After examining the evidence and hearing the testimonies, the judge found Kashiram guilty of murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
