Agartala, Jan 30: Tripura’s royal scion and founder of BJP’s partner in the government, TIPRA Motha Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, reiterated his call for unity among the communities of Tripura to achieve the development milestone.
He stressed that national security should take precedence over political differences, especially in the wake of recent developments in Bangladesh. Pradyot drew attention to the challenges faced by minority communities in Bangladesh, including Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians, who are experiencing attacks, arson, and land encroachments.
He also highlighted the historical context of the 1946 Noakhali riots and the support extended by Tripura to refugees at that time, emphasizing the importance of standing united and presenting a strong response in the face of adversity.
He underscored the importance of economic development alongside political engagement, advocating for the establishment of cold storage facilities to help farmers preserve their produce and strengthen the local economy for the betterment of Tripura’s future.
