Hyderabad, March 25: Global Star Ram Charan gave his fans a brief scare today, March 25, 2026, after reports surfaced of an injury during the shooting of his upcoming sports drama, Peddi. The actor was filming an intense action sequence in Hyderabad when the incident occurred.
According to sources from the production unit, the “Mega Power Star” was shooting a high-octane stunt at a stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday when he sustained a cut just above his eye. The injury required four stitches, leading to immediate concern among fans and social media speculation regarding the severity of the accident. However, Ram Charan’s team was quick to clear the air. Speaking to the media, a representative confirmed that the injury was above his eye rather than to the eye itself, and that he is completely fine.
While some initial reports suggested a temporary halt to the shoot, the latest updates indicate that the actor has already resumed work to keep the film on schedule. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is in its final stages of production, with the team currently wrapping up crucial talkie portions and preparing for a special song featuring a rumored appearance by Mrunal Thakur.
Peddi is one of the most anticipated pan-India releases of 2026. A rustic sports drama set in the Uttarandhra region, the film features a powerhouse cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu, with music composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on April 30, 2026. Fans can expect a special treat soon, as the makers are reportedly planning to release a teaser titled “Kusthi” this Friday to celebrate Ram Charan’s birthday.
