New Delhi, Feb 6: Fans of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Farzi’ may finally get a glimpse of the show’s much-anticipated second season. Shahid shared a post on Instagram suggesting that shooting for the sequel is about to begin.
The actor posted a photo showing off a haircut reminiscent of his look in the first season, captioning it, “SUNNY days back soon…” Sunny is the name of Shahid’s character in the popular Prime Video series.
While the makers have not officially confirmed ‘Farzi 2’, they have neither denied nor dismissed plans for another season. Previously, Shahid had discussed the timeline for the sequel, saying, “Farzi season 2 I am sure hoga lekin in cheezon mein waqt lagta hai, der do saal lagte hain kyunki show khatam hone ke baad ek saal lagta hai uso post-production main.”
“Woh usko 35-40 languages mein dub karte hai aur 200 countries mein release karte hai. Jab shoot hoga toh uske ek saal baad release hoga, toh I think der do saal toh hai Farzi Season 2 mein definitely,” he added.
The first season of ‘Farzi’ featured a star-studded ensemble including Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in key roles.
The story centers on Sunny, a small-time con artist whose elaborate schemes pull him into a dangerous world of crime. His actions put him in the crosshairs of a determined and unconventional task force officer, played by Vijay Sethupathi, who is on a mission to stop the threat Sunny poses.
