Singapore evaluating proposal to join Board of Peace

Jakarta, Feb 6: Singapore is evaluating US President Donald Trump’s offer to join the Board of Peace, The Straits Times newspaper reported, citing Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
Five members of the parliament asked Balakrishnan about the US standing invitation for Singapore to join the Board of Peace, the report said on Thursday.
On January 16, Trump announced the formation of the Board of Peace, which includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga and US Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel. Trump also invited multiple world leaders, including from Russia and Belarus, to join.
