Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commission on Thursday announced the schedule for the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls across the State, with January 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
As part of the revision process, citizens can submit claims and objections related to voter registration, corrections, and deletions. The Commission stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Municipal Commissioners, and Electoral Registration Officers will carry out door-to-door verification to ensure accuracy in the voter lists.
According to the official release, special camps will be organised in all 32 districts at 366 Assembly Constituencies and 117 Parliamentary segments. A total of 2,630 polling stations will function as facilitation centres to assist voters.
The draft electoral rolls will be published on January 12, 2026. The period for filing claims and objections will be open from January 13, 2026. The final electoral rolls will be published on January 16, 2026, after disposal of all claims and objections.
The Commission has urged eligible citizens, especially first-time voters, to verify their details and participate actively in the revision process to strengthen the democratic system.
