
Jalna Mumbai February 4 : A national meeting of consumer representatives jointly organized by Consumer Confederation of India (CCI) and All India Consumer Welfare Council (AICWC) was held at Ambedkar Bhawan, Jalna, Maharashtra. CCI Chairman Dr. Anantha Sharma released “Citizen’s Charter of Consumer Rights”. .AICWC National General Secretary Devendra Tiwari said that the representation of consumer representatives in state and national policy assemblies & parlament is mandatory and demanded from the governments. On this occasion, CCI National General Secretary Sambaraju Chakrapani, CATCO Chairman Shankar Lal Chaurasia, CCI Telangana State President Mogilicherla Sudarshan, Nizamabad District President Pendota Anil Kumar are met with national leaders and explained that consumers in Telangana state problems faced were discussed.In the last (9) years in the state, there is no price control committee, food safety commission, monopoly business practices in the power sector and illegal cosmetic clinics in the state capital, Hyderabad, to be action taken immediately. Also in today’s meeting, consumer representatives from Telangana state Annapragada Sivaparvathi, Donthi Shilpa Reddy, advocate Kalyan Jyoti, S. Praveen, K.sai reddy and others participated.
