Tata Motors Launches All-New Aeris Compact Sedan in India Starting at ₹5.29 Lakh

MUMBAI: Expanding its sub-4-metre lineup and replacing the outgoing Tigor, Tata Motors officially launched the all-new Tata Aeris compact sedan in India with introductory prices starting at ₹5.29 lakh and going up to ₹9.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

Positioned specifically for private, individual car buyers, the Aeris introduces substantial sheet-metal changes alongside a modernized Tiago-inspired exterior design language featuring sleek LED headlights, thin DRL strips, updated bumpers, and fresh 15-inch blacked-out alloy wheels.

Offered across five distinct trim levels—Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished—the cabin receives a comprehensive tech upgrade equipped with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment display, digital driver’s console, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system. Standard safety across all variants has been bumped up to include six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-hold assist.

Under the hood, the sedan retains the reliable 1.2-litre Revotron engine producing 86 hp in petrol mode and 76 hp in factory-fitted iCNG variants, with both fuel choices offered in 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT options. Deliveries for the Tata Aeris are scheduled to begin on October 11, where it will actively take on rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze in the competitive subcompact sedan segment.
