Bhumi Pednekar reflects on emotional response to series ‘Daldal’

New Delhi, Feb 6: Actor Bhumi Pednekar is soaking in the overwhelming love coming her way for her latest series, ‘Daldal’, which has struck a strong chord with audiences.
Taking to Instagram, Bhumi shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes moments from the show, giving fans a peek into her journey of portraying DCP Rita Ferreira. Alongside the photos, she poured her heart out in a deeply emotional caption, expressing disbelief and gratitude over the response the series has received.
“This last week with Daldal has been nothing short of a dream. I can’t believe this has happened. It’s been so long since I’ve felt love like this,” she wrote, adding that she often finds herself pausing just to take it all in, the love, the honesty, and the way audiences connected with the story and her character.
Emphasising that ‘Daldal’ was made with sincerity, Bhumi said the global appreciation and trending status of the show have filled her with hope and motivation for what lies ahead.
“I’ve read every message, and I carry them with me,” she added, thanking fans for giving the series so much heart.

‘Daldal’ is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni under the banner of Abundantia Entertainment. Created by Suresh Triveni, the series is written by Sreekanth Agneeswaran, Rohan D’Souza, Priya Saggi, and Hussain Haidry.
The show also stars Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal in key roles. Based on Vish Dhamija’s book Bhendi Bazaar, the story follows a meticulously planned murder spree, with the police racing against time to catch a killer who leaves behind minimal clues.
Bhumi’s character, DCP Rita Ferreira, is seen leading a high-pressure investigation as a string of murders rattles the city, while simultaneously dealing with intense personal struggles.
The trailer hints at the emotional and professional toll the case takes on her. ‘Daldal’ premiered on Prime Video on January 30.
