Nizamabad, Feb 12: Police have registered a case against Nizamabad Member of Parliament Dharmapuri Arvind. The incident took place at the polling booth set up in Haricharan Marwadi School, which the Election Commission has taken seriously.
According to reports, allegations were made that Arvind made inappropriate remarks against police officers on election duty. Based on complaints filed by Sub-Inspector Gurra Narayana, Head Constable Govardhan, and Srinivasulu, the 1 Town Police registered a case.
The complaint stated that Arvind used abusive language against police personnel and polling staff on duty. It was also alleged that he entered the polling booth with cameras.
Following this, cases were registered under sections 132, 223, and 296(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Additionally, a case was filed under Section 226 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019.
Officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and necessary evidence is being collected.
