Congress Moves to Secure Bhudan Pochampalli Municipality as Hung Results Spur Alliances

Yadadari, Feb 14: The municipal election results in Bhudan Pochampalli of Yadadri Bhongir district have become quite interesting. No party has secured a clear majority. Out of 13 seats, Congress won 6, BRS 5, BJP 1, and an Independent candidate won 1 seat. To capture the Chairman’s post, a party needs 7 seats.

Congress has begun efforts to secure control of the municipality by relying on ex-officio votes. Meanwhile, BRS is attempting to gather support from the BJP and the Independent member. Both parties have already shifted their councillors to camps to prevent defections.
