Several officers from the Special Branch have been posted as Station House Officers in different police stations, while inspectors from central divisions have been reassigned to high-sensitivity zones including Old City, Banjara Hills, and Madhapur. Officers in the traffic wing have been rotated to manage increasing challenges in Cyberabad and Secunderabad corridors, and a few inspectors have been moved to specialized units such as the Task Force and Central Crime Station to strengthen crime detection and intelligence.

Notable postings include Inspector Ramesh to Banjara Hills Police Station, Inspector Srinivas to Madhapur Police Station, Inspector Anitha to the Women’s Police Station in Begumpet, Inspector Shankar to CCS Hyderabad, and Inspector Farooq to Charminar Police Station.

Officials clarified that the reshuffle was carried out for administrative reasons and is part of routine transfers. The exercise is expected to balance manpower across divisions and enhance coordination among different wings of the police department. This large-scale reshuffle comes at a time when the city police are focusing on enhanced surveillance in sensitive areas, crime prevention measures ahead of civic and cultural events, and traffic management in IT corridors and commercial hubs.
