Hyderabad : The Kova Mokashi Gandhari khilla Masemal deity jathara celebrated with enthusiasm in mancherial district.
The jathara held for one day, before one day visited the place and next day celebrated the jathara offer prayers to the deity.
Kova Clan Welfare Society State President Kova Daulat Rao Mokashi demanded the government to provide basic facilities to the jathara.
The Pushya Masam is important for the tribals and celebrated jatharas in the month long.
The full moon day offer prayers to the Masemal Goddess, by the Kova Mokashi clan and the four sub-clans of the Gond tribals, which took place over the past two days at the Gandhari Fort of the Gond kings, located in the Bokkala Gutta Gram Panchayat area of Mandamarri Mandal in Mancherial district.
State President Kova Daulat Rao Mokashi stated that they conducted their festival with great pomp and ceremony amidst traditional music and fanfare.
As for the culture, traditions, and customs, at the deities enshrined in the fort.
He said that they have been performing pujas to the deities at Gandhari Fort with utmost devotion and strict adherence to rituals for generations.
He expressed his anguish that a large number of devotees are coming for divine darshan, and they are facing problems didn’t getting with basic amenities.
He lamented that despite making numerous appeals to the governments, they have not paid any attention.
He said that in a helpless situation, they approached the High Court, and although the court issued interim orders to the government officials to provide all kinds of basic facilities for the Pushya Masam full moon fair and festival and to immediately provide adequate financial assistance.
The court orders are also not being implemented.
He stated that due to the lack of sanitation, electricity, toilets, and water facilities at Gandhari Khilla, women, in particular, faced severe difficulties and had to spend the night in fear with their young children in the darkness.
