Hyderabad February 3 : State Panchayat Raj , Rural Development , Women and Child Welfare Minister D. Anasuya (Sitakka) requested. On Saturday, she attended the video conference held on Panchayat Raj Rural Development Departments along with State Panchayat Raj Commissioner Hanumantha Rao from Mulugu district. Further, special officials are responsible for proper management of Gram Panchayats , especially in the coming summer, special attention should be focused so that there is no problem in drinking water. In providing better services to the people, the special officers should not be reduced in terms of work. A special sanitation drive was ordered to be conducted in the villages from 7th to 15th of this month. In this drive, apart from sanitation in the village , drinking water , infrastructure , employment guarantee etc. , along with examination and problems , a meeting was arranged with the village people , women’s groups and youths on 15th to create awareness about social issues. Especially the youth should be educated so that they do not fall victim to bad addictions. He also advised to organize a meeting with the women’s groups and find out the means of income for them and take steps for their development. He said that those who have worked well in the special sanitation drive program should be recognized and honored by the district collector. He said that the work of the employment guarantee scheme should be accelerated in the village. She asked that special officers of gram panchayats should be available in the villages assigned to them. State Panchayat Raj , Rural Development Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, who attended the video conference from Hyderabad, said that District Collectors should immediately conduct one-day training programs for special officers , focus on sanitation and drinking water in villages , all special officers should be fully aware of Gram Panchayat Act , Mission Bhagiratha drinking water for every house. He said that they should survey and find out what is connected and what is not , and the district collector should also focus on sanitation and drinking water when he visits the villages. Apart from nurseries , segregation sheds and other infrastructural facilities in the villages , special officers of the Gram Panchayat have been ordered to review all these in the village. Under the employment guarantee scheme, the laborers should be provided with facilities at the place of work along with the work . He said that a special sanitation drive should be undertaken from 7th to 15th of this month , drinking water should be given first priority in summer so that there is no problem in drinking water , and in the next two to three months, more focus should be placed on gram panchayats and all sources of drinking water should be chlorinated. He ordered that small repairs of pipe lines should be carried out anywhere. Along with garbage collection from every house , steps should be taken to make every gram panchayat a plastic-free gram panchayat . District Collector G. Ravi Naik, who attended the video conference from the district, said that special officers have been appointed for 441 gram panchayats in the district , proper instructions have been given to the street through video conference , a training program will be conducted on Monday , special attention will be focused on the identified villages and tribal areas for drinking water , and any leakage of pipelines will be stopped. He said that there will be no shortage of drinking water in the villages , along with a house-to-house survey on the existing facilities , a special sanitation drive will be conducted from 7th to 15th of this month. Under the employment guarantee scheme, 285 works valued at 14 crore rupees have been sanctioned. Actions will be taken to ground them.
