US Girl Who Disappeared At 13 Found Alive After Decades In Major Breakthrough

Arizona: A girl who disappeared as a child more than three decades ago has now been found alive, bringing a surprising turn to a long and mysterious case, reported People.com. A 13-year-old girl who vanished under suspicious circumstances in Arizona more than 30 years ago has now been found alive, officials announced.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office reported on Wednesday that Christina Marie Plante, who disappeared decades ago without a trace from Star Valley, a small town located northeast of Phoenix, has recently been found. This breakthrough came following the sudden discovery of a new lead in the case.

Officials did not disclose how she was found, but they noted that technological advancements helped generate new leads in the investigation. It also remains unclear exactly when and where she was located.

The blue-eyed, blonde-haired girl went to check on her horse at a stable near her home in May 1994, after which she disappeared.

Missing person posters issued at the time described her as last being seen wearing a white T-shirt, multicoloured shorts, and black tennis shoes. Her disappearance was deemed suspicious, and officials had expressed concern that she might be in danger.

According to officials, Christina’s name was entered into a national database for missing children, and posters featuring her image were distributed locally, statewide, and across other parts of the country.

They further stated that the case remained open and active for years, with investigators periodically re-examining evidence and pursuing new information as it became available.

Officials confirmed that, 32 years later, Christina Marie Plante has been found alive.

Investigators have also positively identified her. Officials stated that, out of respect for Christina’s privacy and best interests, no further details regarding the case are being released to the public.
