Kanpur Dehat: A bizarre and highly unusual relationship case has taken social media by storm after a 35-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur Dehat district reportedly married his 52-year-old mother-in-law.
The matter came to light after a video surfaced online showing the couple inside a local court complex, wearing garlands and holding up what appears to be a formal marriage certificate.
According to local residents in the Akbarpur area, the man had been married to his 27-year-old wife for about a year. However, serious differences and domestic disputes gradually developed within the marriage. During this period of estrangement, the man allegedly grew increasingly close to his mother-in-law.
Reports indicate that once the wife discovered the proximity between the two and confronted them, the marriage completely broke down. The man and his mother-in-law subsequently chose to legitimize their relationship by legalizing a court marriage in Kanpur Dehat.
