Hyderabad, January 28, 2026: Reliance Jio has launched an extensive educational campaign across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh aimed at bridging the digital divide by integrating advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills into the education sector. This initiative centers on the practical application of Google Gemini Pro to modernize learning and teaching methodologies. By introducing cutting-edge AI tools directly into classrooms, Jio aims to empower students and teachers with the digital proficiency required to excel in an increasingly technology-driven professional world.
The campaign has already achieved significant milestones, successfully reaching over 2,200 schools across both states. Led by Jio’s senior executives, these specialized training programs have seen participation from more than 27,000 teachers and students. Specifically, 20,000 individuals from 1,500 schools in Andhra Pradesh and over 7,000 individuals from 700 schools in Telangana have received training. These interactive workshops are designed to familiarize participants with the Google Gemini ecosystem, demonstrating how AI can simplify tasks like generating lesson notes, completing assignments, and solving complex coding projects. Furthermore, the training highlights AI’s role in long-term professional development through project ideation, graphic design, and interview preparation.
A major highlight of this digital empowerment drive is the provision of premium technology at no cost. Jio is offering its Unlimited 5G subscribers a “Google Gemini Pro Plan,” valued at ₹35,100, free for 18 months. This subscription, which can be activated via the MyJio app, grants access to the advanced Gemini 3 Pro model and a suite of high-end creative tools. These include Nano Banana Pro for image generation, Veo 3.1 for video creation, and NotebookLM for academic research, all supported by 2 TB of cloud storage.
To further support youth skill development, Jio has also introduced the “Jio AI Classroom,” a free four-week online certification program. This self-paced course allows students to gain hands-on experience with AI technologies using a desktop or laptop.
Available through the Jio.com/ai-classroom portal, the program provides the foundational knowledge necessary for students in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to compete in the global digital economy, ensuring the local workforce stays at the forefront of technological innovation.
