Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh State Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Rural Poverty Alleviation, and Empowerment of Non-Resident Andhras, Kondapalli Srinivas, stated that MSMEs should work in line with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of creating one entrepreneur in every family.
On Tuesday, the minister conducted a review meeting on MSMEs at the Industries Department office located on the 8th floor of the APIIC Towers in Mangalagiri. He discussed the performance of the Industries Department and the progress of various schemes being implemented. The meeting also covered steps to be taken for the implementation of newly introduced programs such as the AP Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurs Program and the AP Cluster Development Programs.
The minister said that an Industrial Promotion Officer would be nominated for each constituency to address the needs of MSMEs. These officers will coordinate with staff working on industrial development as part of the constituency vision plan. He directed the Director of Industries to issue necessary orders in this regard.
He also instructed the Commissioner of Industries to ensure that any delays in payments due to MSMEs from government and corporate organizations are addressed through the Facilitation Council and made accessible via the ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) portal for appropriate action.
District Industries Officers were advised to prepare agendas to strengthen MSMEs and present them before the District Industries Export Promotion Committee, which is chaired by the District Collector in each district. The Director of Industries was asked to frame the necessary guidelines for this process.
The minister emphasized that from the village, mandal, and constituency levels up to the Head of Department (HOD), everyone should work in coordination to strengthen MSMEs and collectively advance the Chief Minister’s initiatives for the state’s economic development.
The review meeting was attended by Industries Secretary Dr. N. Yuvaraj, Director of Industries Shubham Bansal, AP MSME Development Corporation CEO Viswa, other department officials, and district-level industry officers who participated virtually.
