Revanth’s call for smart governance

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the newly appointed GHMC Zonal Commissioners to focus on the planned development of the area within the Outer Ring Road (ORR). During a meeting with the officials, the Chief Minister instructed them to formulate a comprehensive action plan for the next five years. “We have reorganized the city into 12 zones, 60 circles, and 300 wards under the ‘CURE’ (Core Urban Region) framework. We have decided to overhaul the Core Urban Region,” the CM stated.

Emphasizing the need for accountability, Revanth Reddy said that Zonal Commissioners must conduct field visits daily and will be held solely responsible for resolving issues within their respective zones. Identifying waste management as the city’s most complex challenge, the Chief Minister ordered officials to conduct a special sanitation drive for three days every month. He also issued strict directives to take steps toward a complete ban on single-use plastic in the city.
