Share of taxes They will be in accordance with the recommendations of the Finance Commission. Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi February 5 Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during a debate on ‘ Tax Share and Distribution among States ‘ in Parliament on Monday . A war of words ensued between Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. Adhir Ranjan Choudhary accused non-BJP governments of showing ‘ discrimination ‘ in the matter of dues and allocations , especially to southern states . Nirmala Sitharaman denied that there was no truth in Adhir’s words. His words were wrongly political. “ The share of taxes and distribution among the states will be as per the recommendations of the Finance Commission. I have no right to change the rules of the state. Nirmala Sitharaman explained that it is not correct to accuse some states of showing political color and showing discrimination towards those states. During the discussion , Adhir Ranjan intervened and said that Karnataka is the latest example of the Center showing discrimination towards the states. He said that the entire Karnataka cabinet is worried about this. He alleged that everything was fine till a few months ago and the problem has started since the new government came to power. Reacting to this , Nirmala Sitharaman said that SGST will go 100 percent to the states and it is an automatic provision. He said that IGST is an inter-state payment and will be reviewed periodically. CGST is divided by the Finance Commission. He said that he cannot make any changes at his own will , liking one state and acting against another state is also against the politics of his party. He said that his role in this is not so much. He said that he will follow the recommendations of the Finance Commission 100 percent like every finance minister does , and he will do this without any fear or bias. Nirmala Sitharaman concluded her discussion by saying, “I have nothing to do without the Finance Commission. Please don’t think I am discriminating. Talk to the Finance Commission . “
