Amaravati , January 30 : APPC President YS Sharmila wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. It has been explained item wise that the guarantees in the AP Repartition Act have not been implemented. The letter stated that I am bringing to your notice the unfulfilled promises made in the AP Reorganization Act , 2014 regarding the development of Andhra Pradesh . The letter said that even after a decade of partition, AP has been deprived of its capital city. He explained that since the BJP government came to power , they have not implemented the election promises. Even after ten years, not a single promise has been fulfilled. He said it is a fact that people of Andhra Pradesh have been cheated even after a decade of partition. He said that today , the state is in a state of confusion and helplessness. There is a clear example of this when the then Prime Minister said that he would give special status. But the subsequent government has completely ignored this demand. As a result today , AP is said to be devoid of progress and development. He said that the Polavaram project, which is the lifeblood of AP, has not been completed. The Central and State Governments have together protested against watering down the national status of the project. He said that Polavaram is the right of the people of the state… Today the future of the project is questionable. He said that they are appealing these points on behalf of 5.5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh. In the letter, Sharmila demanded that this matter should be taken seriously and these promises should be fulfilled.
