
Hyderabad, Jan 15: Telangana Tourism Department on Thursday thanked the people of the State for making the International Kite and Sweet Festival, organised at Secunderabad Parade Grounds on the occasion of Sankranthi, a grand success.
Continuing the festive celebrations, Telangana Tourism announced that a Hot Air Balloon Festival will be organised at Secunderabad Parade Grounds from January 16 to 18, between 1700 hours to 1800 hours.
As part of the cultural programmes, a live concert by popular singer Mangli has been arranged on January 16 at 1900 hours. The venue will also host handloom and handicraft stalls, along with food stalls for visitors.
In addition, a Drone Festival will be held at Gachibowli Stadium on January 16 and 17, from 0900 hours to 2000 hours. Visitors can experience drone races, drone soccer, virtual reality activities, and a special showcase of Telangana tourist destinations.
Telangana Tourism appealed to the public to visit the venues and make the most of the events planned as part of the Sankranthi season celebrations, an official statement said.
