
Megastar Chiranjeevi has secured a massive victory this Sankranti season, entertaining audiences as “Shankara Vara Prasad.” Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film ‘Mana ShankaraVaraPrasad Garu’ was released on January 12 and has been winning over family audiences. After a massive opening of Rs. 84 crores on Day 1, the film continued its aggressive run at the box office on the second day. The production house has now officially announced the two-day collections, releasing a poster confirming that the movie has grossed Rs. 120 crores worldwide in just 48 hours.
Chiranjeevi Reacts to the Success
Chiranjeevi expressed his immense joy over the film crossing the 100-crore mark, noting that this is his sixth film to enter the ₹100-crore club. He remarked that “the real Sankranti starts now” and urged everyone to enjoy the film in theaters. He added that there could be no better Sankranti gift for him than this success. Meanwhile, the production house stated that the film is seeing incredible demand on BookMyShow, with 24,000 tickets being sold per hour.
Following the film’s success, the team held a celebratory success meet. Director Anil Ravipudi shared that he completed the script in just 25 days, taking it on as a challenge to finish the film on time. Producer Sahu Garapati expressed high expectations, predicting that the film could reach a total collection of Rs. 400 to Rs. 500 crores. The movie features Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi, with a special guest appearance by Venkatesh.
