NEW YORK: The highly anticipated global release of Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s sports action drama Peddi has triggered an absolute box office frenzy overseas. With a massive premiere scheduled for Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, across the United States and Canada, the film’s North American advance booking collections have surged past a roaring prestigious $1 million milestone.
According to the latest overseas trade tracking reports from Venky Box Office, Peddi has locked in over $784,000 in premiere pre-sales in the United States alone. The stellar performance spans across 533 distinct locations, over 1,647 scheduled shows, and has already seen more than 28,000 tickets fly off the shelves.
When factoring in additional standard screen allocations across Canada, the overall North American pre-sales have safely swept past $815,000 (approximately Rs. 7.7 crore).
The record-breaking run comes despite unique logistical challenges in the international market. The film’s US distributor, Prathyangira US, recently issued an advisory to eager fans, noting that Peddi is launching alongside major summer Hollywood blockbusters that had already reserved the majority of Premium Large Format (PLF) and IMAX screens.
Rather than waiting out for additional premium layouts, fans have heavily subverted expectations by aggressively booking standard digital auditoriums, prompting theater chains to expand the number of standard shows to accommodate the sheer demand through the opening weekend.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and packed with a star-studded ensemble including Janhvi Kapoor, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu, Peddi has generated immense pre-release business totaling roughly Rs. 220 crore globally. Backed by a powerful background score and chart-topping soundtrack by musical maestro A. R. Rahman, the promotional materials have positioned the film as Ram Charan’s major theatrical resurgence following the global phenomenon of RRR.
With advance bookings officially open across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and trade analysts projecting a colossal Day 1 worldwide gross of close to Rs. 100 crore, Peddi is well on its way to cementing its status as a massive pan-Indian blockbuster. The film arrives in global theaters for its general release tomorrow, June 4, 2026.
