TDP RS Candidates File Nominations on Final Day

Amaravati: On the final day for entering the race for the Upper House of Parliament, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates officially filed their nomination papers for the upcoming biennial Rajya Sabha elections today, June 8, 2026.

The three nominated candidates—sitting MP Sana Satish Babu, prominent educationist Bhashyam Ramakrishna, and ITDP chief Chintakayala Vijay—submitted their documents at the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly. They were accompanied by senior leaders, ministers, and MLAs from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition. Before filing nominations the candidates along with other leaders visited the Party Head office near Mangalagiri and offered floral tributes to the late NTR, the founder of TDP.

The finalized list of candidates was officially announced over the weekend by Chief Minister and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu after extensive rounds of consultations within the party and with alliance partners, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
