
Hyderabad, Jan 19: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his delegation are leaving for Davos, Switzerland on Monday, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meetings.
The visit aims to attract new investments and expand industrial partnerships for the State.
Before departing for Davos, the Chief Minister will offer prayers at the reconstructed Sammakka Saralamma shrines at Medaram this morning.
He will later leave Medaram by helicopter at 8 am, reach Hyderabad, and depart for Switzerland from Shamshabad Airport at 9.30 am. Senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and the Industries Department are accompanying him, according to an official statement.
The four-day conference in Davos, beginning January 20, will see Mr. Revanth Reddy holding extensive meetings with top CEOs, global investors, and representatives from key sectors.
At the Telangana Pavilion, the Chief Minister is scheduled to meet the leadership of several major companies, including Google, Salesforce, Unilever, Honeywell, L’Oréal, Novartis, Tata Group, DP World, Infosys, and Cisco. He will also participate in multiple roundtable discussions during the summit.
The meetings will focus on investment opportunities in Telangana and expansion plans across sectors such as IT, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and manufacturing. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to highlight Telangana’s “Rising Vision 2047” and the State’s strong development ecosystem to the international community at the WEF platform.
The delegation includes Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Principal Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and Sanjay Kumar, Special Secretary Ajit Reddy, and other senior officials. The government expects the Davos visit to further strengthen Telangana’s standing as a preferred global investment destination.
